Congregation Ahavas Achim
Congregation Ahavas Achim has been a proud participant at Our Community Table, Westfield's soup kitchen, since shortly after its founding in the 1980's. A group of dedicated volunteers has served dinner the first Thursday of each month since then. In addition, the Congregation serves a delicious roast beef dinner every year on Christmas Day. We are always looking for volunteers to provide food and/or help serve the meal. Please be aware that it is not necessary to enter the building. For further information regarding the monthly soup kitchen, please contact Sandy at 413-262-4564 or sandra.mackler@comcast.net to volunteer time and/or food.
Recently, our Rabbi, Shahar Colt, gathered a group of family and friends to travel from Hampshire County to Our Community Table for Ahavas Achim and Friends youth/family night. Their group, dubbed CAA, will prepare and serve the meal on the first Sunday of each month. Below are some pictures from their first night volunteering.
